In an emergency, PesoCath provides a direct channel for emergency aspiration, auscultation and evacuation of gastric juices. The esophageal catheter thus provides additional safety for patients. This channel can be used as a working channel for introducing the guidewire, for auscultatory control of gastric position and for evacuation of gastric juices.
