Control Panel
Thanks to its simple and user-friendly interface, the standard 12.1-inch color touchscreen allows all operations to be performed on a single screen while simultaneously displaying all desired observations. This eliminates the need for a secondary monitor.
Active alarms can be displayed on a single screen as a list, enabling the clinician to quickly assess the priority of each alarm situation.
Smart meters:
The Superior Tende algorithm guides clinicians in calculating Apgar scores and can store patient data on screen. This eliminates the need for manual data entry during the procedure and ensures that the patient's data is not lost.
Hands-free alarm stop function:
Thanks to the sensors on the device's control module, the alarms can be temporarily deactivated without disrupting the clinician's sterilization, so that the clinician will ensure continuity of the operation and there will be no need for resterilization during treatment.
Temperature control:
Clinicians can easily set desired temperature values using the skin mode option on the Tende VAV-IW touchscreen. The baby skin temperature probe (Skin 1 and Skin 2) can be disposable or reusable. If the set values are exceeded, the system provides visual and audible warnings. The heating power is then gradually adjusted by the system to reach the desired temperature. Furthermore, the heaters automatically switch off when the heater head is moved.
Bed, 360-degree rotation and bed angle (Trendelenburg):
The soft, biocompatible, waterproof, washable, and flame-retardant mattress is positioned on the mattress tray with the X-ray cassette tray underneath. When the baby requires an intervention, the mattress can rotate 360° around its axis. The tilt can be adjusted electronically, effortlessly, easily, smoothly, and safely from the control screen. Three frequently used angle settings can be saved so the clinician can access the desired tilt angle from the frequently used values with a single click.
Two-way drawer:
The Tende VAV-IW features a drawer that opens in two directions and offers ample internal space, allowing for seamless user interaction and immediate access. Its generous storage capacity accommodates readily available materials such as tubes and diapers.
Integrated NIBP and pulse oximetry system (optional):
The baby's vital signs can be continuously monitored, allowing the clinician to instantly assess the baby's condition and intervene by immediately identifying emergencies. With the pulse oximeter integrated into the Tende VAV-IW radiant infant warmer, pulse rate and oxygen saturation are measured non-invasively, without drawing blood. The Masimo Rainbow SET technology used in the incubator also enables the measurement of perfusion indices (PI) and pleth variability (PVI), as well as hemoglobin (SpHb), methemoglobin (SpMet), and carboxyhemoglobin (SpCO) levels. Tende is the first in the world to integrate Masimo Rainbow SET technology into radiant infant warmers.
Integrated phototherapy and lighting (optional):
An integrated phototherapy unit, built into the main unit of the device and controlled via the control panel, is available as an option. This allows for the treatment of common neonatal jaundice while maintaining the necessary warmth and therapeutic environment for the baby. Simultaneously, the integrated lighting unit gradually provides the necessary light for observing the baby, so that when the clinician needs it, the bed area can be illuminated by the radiant heater.
Adjusting the height of the device (optional)
Clinicians can electronically adjust the height of the baby warmer using the up and down pedals located on both sides of the unit for comfortable operation. Thanks to the specially developed Tende VAV-IW motor, the raising and lowering process is quiet and smooth, without disturbing the baby.
Wireless scale (optional):
The Tende VAV-IW features a sensitive digital scale with microprocessor control and an automatic self-test function, designed with the baby's safety and comfort in mind. Before the baby is removed from the crib, they are lifted for a few seconds, and the system performs the weighing process when the baby is released. If the crib is tilted before weighing, for more accurate results, the system automatically returns the crib to its flat position before weighing, and then to its neutral position.
Resuscitation (optional):
The resuscitation unit, including the oxygen-air mixer and vacuum units, integrated into the device with its superior Tende design, can be supplied as an option. This allows clinicians to easily manage T-piece resuscitation during surgery. The vital support the baby may need in those crucial moments will be readily available at the baby's bedside with the Tende VAV-IW.
