The benefits of PesoCath.
The Pesocath esophageal catheter helps reduce lung damage in patients. Thanks to pressure monitoring, ventilation can be adapted to the patient’s actual needs. The aim is to ensure high positive end-pressure (PEEP) with low respiratory pressure, and therefore lung-protective ventilation.
Wire-in-wire system
This “wire-in-wire” solution and the special coating allow easy return of the guide wire.
New standard for enteral feeding.
PesoCath offers a direct connection with a practical crown closure for patient enteral feeding. This connection complies with the latest standard for enteral feeding connections, DIN EN ISO 80369.
Esophageal balloon
The special integrated esophageal balloon provides excellent reactive behavior for pressure variations during ventilation, and is adapted to the dynamic requirements of transpulmonary pressure measurement.
Fan interface
PesoCath can be connected to the respective ventilator via an interface. This connection is specially designed for monitoring esophageal and transpulmonary pressure or, depending on position, gastric pressure.
Perfectly safe in an emergency
In an emergency, PesoCath provides a direct channel for emergency aspiration, auscultation and evacuation of gastric juices. The esophageal catheter thus provides additional safety for patients. This channel can be used as a working channel for introducing the guidewire, for auscultatory control of gastric position and for evacuation of gastric juices.
